The Opportunity

Under the general direction of the President/COO or CFO, manages the day to day financial and accounting processes for Timeline Design & Build. You will need to bring both a well refined skill set and an energetic, "can do" philosophy to the table. Must be as adept with your computer as your tape measure, and ready to think outside the box to provide innovative solutions for our clients. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating financial statements in a timely and accurate manner, consistent with GAAP standards, including preparation of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, and related variance analyses
  • Manage the chart of accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems that support the production of financial statements and schedules
  • Design, develop, and communicate financial controls to relevant departments within the organization
  • Update financial models and creation of ad-hoc operational and new financial analysis
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations review and record journal entries required to reflect monthly activity
  • Manage the annual audit, draft audited financial statements and footnotes and assist in preparation of financial packages for internal and external consumption
  • Manage the general ledger closing processes, balance sheet prepaid reconciliations, accrued liabilities, expenses, bank reconciliations, daily sales to cash deposit reconciliations, etc.
  • Ensure proper accounting for capitalized fixed assets and internally developed software
  • Provide explanations behind line item changes in revenue and expenses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Manage the timely payment of vendor invoices, AP aging and optimize payment discounts
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements to the executive team
  • Prepare annual budgets and updating financial forecasts
  • Oversee preparation of the 1099s

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Construction accounting experience is required
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • QuickBooks and Construction industry software such as Viewpoint Software experience preferred
